Questioning progress: Human vs Nature

Are we a virus, an animal or gods? This is the era of environmentalism, we all sort of know that changes on earth are increasing rapidly and exponentially; not all of these changes benefit living species on the earth. Pretty much all of these changes are followed by catastrophic consequences. Is unbelievable to se how human beings in the last few decades had consumed resources and polluted the planet like no specie has done before. It’s kind of sad to see how in little time landscapes degrade, species become extinct, cities become dark and polluted, human beings become unhappier and more ambitious every time; in other words, what we call the so embraced progress has lead us to a vicious cycle that never ends that involves extraction, production, distribution and disposal and each day faster and faster, the worst thing is that this process of production, so familiar to us comes without responsibility fed with greed and ambition.
I’m not trying to be radical but radicalism at this point in evolution is necessary (in my personal point of view) in order to overcome the effect of the big snowball of the so craved progress that we have created on the peak of the mountain that we call capitalism (or the unconscious storage of wealth) that is about to fall.
I encourage you to watch this video and think about the topics discussed, they’re the perfect example of how humans had populated the earth without taking responsibility of our actions.
