Once Again: Winter Doesn’t Disprove Global Warming
Why is it that we have to go through this every year? Winter arrives. It gets cold. Dumb-as-a-rock Fox commentators make sarcastic comments insinuating that global warming is a scam. Dumb-as-a-rock sheeple repeat the stupidity all over the internet. And so it goes.
Despite the fact that 2009 is one of the hottest years on record, the chatter about winter supposedly disproving global warming altogether is louder than ever. But a week of icicles on Florida oranges doesn’t represent more than a blip in the overall warming trend.
Once more, with feeling: climate change can cause local weather extremes, whether hot or cold, wet or dry. But weather is not climate– and there are still going to be variations in weather caused by other factors.
